On Saturday June 2nd, 2018, the construction site of the OZC “The Cube” in Tilburg will be open to the public on the occasion of the “Dag van de Architectuur 2018”. A guided tour, starting at 13.00, will be led by KAAN Architecten and introduce the visitors to the new building within the campus of the Tilburg University.

The Italian architecture magazine The Plan launches every year The Plan Award. The new Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Terminal, designed by KL AIR (KAAN Architecten, Estudio Lamela, ABT, Ineco, with the support of Arnout Meijer Studio, DGMR and Planeground), has won 2018 Transport category.
On Wednesday May 16th, 2018 starting from 19.00, Kees Kaan will hold a lecture at the AIT-Award 2018 – Architecktur Salon in Munich (Germany). His speech will focus on the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, which has been awarded in 2016 with the AIT Award for Office/Administration category. From February to September 2018, the exhibition space of the Amsterdam Architecture Centre has been turned into the ARCAM Model Agency. From May till July, the model of the new Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Terminal will be part of this project’s parade. The exhibition doesn’t focus on large urban issues and challenges, but rather put small-scale projects to the spotlight that shape the city of Amsterdam.
On Sunday May 6th, 2018, starting at 10am, the construction site of the Crematorium in Aalst, will be open to the public for guided tours as part of the Open Werven Dag. The building is characterised by a wide variety concrete textures, glass walls, column-free spaces and a rhythmic layout of patios and courtyards, it will be officially completed this summer.
